According to
the manufacturer’s label 1 gallon of AQUA-RESLIN® contains 1.67 pounds of
permethrin and 1.67 pounds of piperonyl
butoxide.
1 gallon = 3.785 liters
1 pound (lb.) = 453.6 grams.
1000 micrograms = 1 milligram
1000 milliliters (ml) = 1 liter
1.67 lbs/gallon
X 453.6 grams/lb. = 757.512 grams/gallon
757.5
grams/gallon divided by 3.785 liters/gallon = 200.135 grams/liter
1 liter of
AQUA-RESLIN® contains 200.135 grams of permethrin
1 milliliter of
AQUA-RESLIN® contains 0.2001 grams of permethrin
1 milliliter of
AQUA-RESLIN® contains 200 milligrams of permethrin
TAKE one (1)
milliliter of AQUA-RESLIN® and place it in a 100 ml volumetric flask. Dilute it to 100 ml FINAL VOLUME with A.C.S.
acetone [A.C.S. acetone is the grade of acetone approved by the American Chemical
Society.] This is the STOCK solution.
The STOCK
solution contains 0.002 grams of permethrin/ml
This is the
same thing as 2 mg of permethrin per milliliter of STOCK
solution.
TAKE 2.15 ml of
STOCK solution and place it in a 100 ml volumetric flask.
Dilute it to 100 ml FINAL VOLUME with A.C.S. acetone.
This is the TEST solution.
The TEST
solution contains .043 mg of permethrin per milliliter.
The TEST
solution contains 43 micrograms of permethrin per ml.
USE 1 ml of the
TEST solution in each bottle of the bioassay.
